The People’s Ethnography Lab (PEL) brings into dialogue twelve community-based research initiatives that I have worked collaboratively on over the past eight years. Together, these projects employ a diverse range of methods, engage with multiple communities, and span disparate locations across Colombia and the U.S. They share a common foundation: each responds to questions raised by the communities involved and incorporates creative media such as photography, storytelling, and textile work, engaged as tools for exploring research questions and sharing results.
